A head-on collision is one of the most dangerous types of car accidents, as it typically involves high speeds and can lead to major injuries and even death. This may help to ease pain and suffering or emotional distress stemming from the fatal accident. A successful suit can also help to cover funeral costs and other expenses connected to the event. The fact that the driver was going the wrong way, according to police, could be used as evidence of reckless driving in Connecticut, and, if speed is found to have contributed to the accident, it could also be used to establish liability in civil court. Even if the individuals thought to be responsible in these kinds of car accidents ends up dying, the injured victims or surviving families can still sue that driver’s estate to compensate for damages.
