Two people were injured in a car-motorcycle accident in Connecticut recently. A motorcyclist was driving on Route 44 when he collided with a pickup truck, according to police. The motorcyclist flew from his bike. He suffered injuries and was transported to a hospital.
The pickup truck driver also suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital, authorities said. Police are continuing to investigate the collision. The conditions of the injured parties are unknown.
If one of the drivers is found to have caused the accident because he engaged in negligent or reckless driving, such as driving too fast for road conditions in the area or failure to yield to another vehicle, that driver could face legal challenges in the form of a personal injury claim. The injured party has the right to seek monetary damages that could be used to cover medical costs, lost wages and other expenses stemming from the accident.
