A Connecticut woman sadly lost her life in a recent motor vehicle accident. Two other people also suffered injuries in the collision. The head-on auto accident took place on a Saturday night.
According to police, a 30-year-old woman driving a car collided with an oncoming sport utility vehicle operated by a 25-year-old woman. The SUV was carrying a 26-year-old male passenger. The two people in the SUV suffered injuries deemed not to be life-threatening and were taken to the hospital.
The woman who was driving the car had to be extricated from her vehicle following the collision. She was taken to the hospital via helicopter but ended up dying there. Authorities continued to investigate the fatal crash.
The police investigation may provide information regarding who was at fault in the tragic auto accident. If the injured driver is discovered to have caused the crash, the surviving loved ones of the deceased driver may choose to file a wrongful death claim against her; moreover, the injured passenger could also pursue a civil claim. Meanwhile, if the deceased driver is found to have been at fault, the injured driver and passenger may rightfully file personal injury claims in this case. Although the driver of the vehicle that allegedly struck them died, her estate could still be sued; in addition, any separate owner of the car she was driving at the time of the crash may be included in such a lawsuit. Financial restitution in a successfully fought case may help the plaintiffs to ease the financial aspects of the Connecticut crash.
