Three people were injured in a car crash that recently occurred in Connecticut. Sometimes a motor vehicle accident takes place because one motorist on the road is behaving negligently, such as speeding or disobeying other traffic laws. In this situation, it is within the rights of an injured victim of such an accident to seek justice in civil court.
The car accident took place on a Wednesday morning. It involved four vehicles along Route 7. Police said one man was driving north on a road and ended up crossing a double yellow line. The man reportedly entered oncoming traffic in the southbound lane.
His car then hit another car. The second car ended up turning sideways in a northbound lane because of the slippery conditions of the road at that time. Then, a third car that was traveling north hit the back bumper of the second car and a fourth car then hit the back of the third car. All of the drivers, except for the driver of the third car, suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital. Police continue to investigate the accident.
The person who allegedly crossed the center lane into oncoming traffic may be held liable for the injuries suffered by the other victims of the Connecticut crash. The victims have the right to file personal injury claims, seeking the reimbursement of financial damages sustained in the collision. If they are successful, they may be awarded damages, which may help to cover their medical expenses and even the loss of wages stemming from the motor vehicle accident.
